Marcel Lapierre, Morgon, Roche du Py, Cuvee Camille 2020 (1.5L)
Description
Received in Original Carton
One-fourth of Kermit Lynch’s renowned ‘Gang of Four,’ Marcel Lapierre has been pioneering the natural wine movement in Beaujolais since the 1980s. Fruit for ‘Cuvée Camille’ comes from a small one hectare plot in Morgon, from vines ranging 50-75 years in age. Old vines give way to naturally low yields, giving way to concentrated, healthy fruit. Succulent and silky, the wine is perfect with veggie burgers, charcuterie, and cold hors d’oeuvres.

What a beautiful and fascinating Morgon! Normally we think of flowers as being light and bright, but some of the floral character in this Morgon is dark and mysterious. However, there’s also a very appealing violet aroma. At once ripe and generous, silky and delicate, this is hard to resist! From organically grown grapes. Unfiltered. Drink or hold. (3/2022)
