Domaine Leflaive, Puligny-Montrachet, Les Pucelles 2016
94 points Allen Meadows
There is a subtle whiff of exoticism to the elegant and ultra-fresh aromas of honeysuckle, tangerine skin, pear compote and spice. Once again there is a terrific sense of energy to the racy, intense and gorgeously refined middle weight flavors that culminate in a highly refined, balanced and sneaky long finale. This is textbook Pucelles that should age effortlessly. Burghound (6/2018)

A broad attack signals this rich, powerful white, revealing peach, apple pie and vanilla flavors, with a hint of coffee. Balanced and vibrant on the long finish, where a mineral accent chimes in. (BS) (5/2019)

(20 hectoliters per hectare produced): Pale, bright yellow. Pure aromas of yellow peach and flowers display the typical early reserve of this cuvée. Silky, seamless, broad and round, showing a lemony edge. Plenty of volume here but a bit less filled in than the Folatières. This classically dry, airy wine is still a bit tight on the back end, but is also a bit less minerally than the Folatières. (ST) (9/2017)
