(100% destemmed; 25% new oak): Bright medium red. Alluring scents of black cherry, violet and rose petal accented by a hint of white pepper. An essentially gentle, supple village wine but with noteworthy texture and depth and some spicy oak showing today. Finishes with nicely buffered tannins and very good length. This should be sweet, savory and gulpable in its youth.
