The 2014 Chardonnay Golden Slope is one of the richer, creamier wines in the range. Orange blossom, crème brulee, apricot jam and buttery notes are fused together. More fresh and lively, with a tad more precision and cut than the Chardonnay Four, the 2014 Chardonnay Golden Slope offers classy notes of citrus blossom, white flowers, salt block and hints of minerality. Medium to full-bodied, pure, elegant and balanced, it spent 15 months in 15% new French oak before bottling. It, too, should cruise for at least 5-6 years. (JD) (8/2016)
