(for 375 ml.) Highly nuanced nose combines pear, Cling peach, game, mint oil, spices and caraway seed. Higher-pitched than the Abbott TBA, with brisk acidity and more tangy, compellingly concentrated flavors of apricot, pear and citrus fruits. Finishes with excellent verve and a lingering flavor of dried apricot. This carries 10.7% alcohol, while the Abbott is 9.1%. (ST) (5/2003)
