Dujac, Vosne-Romanee, Les Beaux Monts 2013
Description
Very lightly scuffed labels
92-94 points Int'l Wine Cellar
Healthy bright red. Highly nuanced aromas of raspberry, flowers, minerals and leather. Rich, sappy and fine-grained, showing excellent cut and lift to its raspberry and spice flavors. Finishes lively and salty, with suave tannins and excellent length. This fruit was picked with 12.1% potential alcohol and will be bottled at about 12.8%. A beauty in the making. (1/2015)
92-94 points Vinous
The 2013 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts is a powerful, deep wine endowed with superb textural richness. Dark red cherry, plum, spice, licorice and new leather all find support in beams of underlying minerality that give the wine its energy and pulsating salinity. The Beaux Monts is shaping up to be a jewel. (AG) (4/2015)
91-94 points Burghound
Here there is a completely different aromatic profile with markedly more spice elements present that add breadth and a certain elegance to the primarily red and black Pinot fruit nose though there are background hints of violet and lilac. I very much like the mouth feel to the well-delineated, intense and mineral-driven medium weight flavors that possess a saline character on the wonderfully complex, intense and well-balanced finale. This is lovely and a wine that should be approachable after 6 to 8 years though it will need 10 to 12 to arrive at its apogee. *Outstanding* (1/2015)
