A more complex and slightly riper if less elegant nose features earthy red pinot, plum and distinct sauvage notes that also characterize the rich, generous and forward medium-bodied flavors that possess an unusually fine, even silky, mouth feel. The admirably lingering finish is supported and shaped by fine but firm tannins and excellent length. This is not a bruiser but it is really quite stylish. *Sweet Spot* (1/2011)
