This is a stunning wine. Double decanted. Effusive nose of dark fruits, forest floor, sl touch of brett. Perfectly balanced, nuanced, great mineral core. Essence of syrah here and about as good as it gets. Pure silk Volnay-ish finish. 6/20/2023

Consistent notes with the preceding bottle. Initially it was slightly reduced. I recommend drinking this wine at room temperature, over 70 F (20C), that will bring out sap, power and fruit over reductive notes, plenty of life ahead, cries for red, matured T bone, sourdough with butter, black truffles and smokey maldon, there is no emoji for your cardiologist and nutritionist watching and horizontally head shaking, you get the picture, sorry, this is not for salad. 1/7/2026

Complex, animalistic and wild first (in a meaty way and not bretty at all) black berries seasoned with pepper, granite liquid and feral perfumes, the textural mouthfeel if very much akin to wearing a light scarf of thin cashmere cloth, tannins resolved, elegant, spicy, with striking energy and freshness, as the wine opens up the sap increased and balanced out the acidity, plenty of elegant power in reserve, this great wine is a mid welter, nervous and explosively punchy. Ready to drink, and a food wine for game dish. 12/11/2025
