Drank Jan 25 nice big smooth taste I agree with the others that it could go longer but this tasted great tonight. The tannins were just right I prefer less fruit and the cherry and plum were very balanced and spot on. The pepper and spice hits from start to finish mixing with tobacco big and smooth taste. 1/12/2025

This is the 3rd bottle we've opened, at 2-3 year intervals, and the best by far. The tannins are very strong and somewhat overpowering for the fruit, but overall the wine is delicious. I get plums, cherries and vanilla on the nose, with hints of herbs - maybe a little anise? The taste is mildly astringent with tannins, but fruity and complex. The finish is long, ending with slightly bitter notes along with the lingering cherries and some warm spice, perhaps cinnamon. We'll save the last 3 in our cellar for another 5 years or so. 1/8/2024
