Domaine de Montille, Pommard, Les Pezerolles 2015
Description
91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2015 Pommard 1er Cru les Pezerolles has quite a dense, rich bouquet with cassis-tinged red berry fruit, actually more like a Volnay in style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite dense in the mouth again, saline and lightly spiced towards the finish that has good fleshiness and length. This is very fine. (NM) (12/2016)
92 points Vinous
(vinified with 50% whole clusters): Good deep red. Initially restrained nose opened somewhat with air to show aromas of redcurrant and flowers. Boasts excellent intensity and savory soil character but a bit medicinal and closed in on itself today, showing sound acidity but little easy sweetness; comes across as a bit tougher and more medicinal than the Volnay Mitans, without that wine's obvious class. But this very firmly structured wine finishes with slowly mounting persistence and surprisingly ripe, suave tannins, and should be long-lived. (ST)(1/2018)
