Expressive nose, lots of farmyard and a noticeable green streak from pyrazines. May be not perfectly ripe grapes but it works with the richness of the wine. This is funky, wild, fresh and very drinkable. True Northern Rhone, not for the faint hearted but so distinctive and aromatic. Better than the 2006 and on par with the 2001 which I had a few weeks back. 2/10/2024
