Marchesi di Barolo, Barolo 1971
Description
2.0cm-3.0cm
Marchesi di Barolo Barolo 1971 is a fully mature Nebbiolo red wine from the Barolo appellation of Piedmont, northern Italy. Marchesi di Barolo is a seminal name in Barolo winemaking. The Marchese Carlo Tancredi Falletti di Barolo and his wife, Giulia, first made Barolo wine as we know it today in the 19th century, their wines being served to Italian royalty. The 1971 Piedmont vintage is considered the best of that decade and arguably is one of the best of the second half of the 20th century, producing many long-lived Barolo and Barbaresco wines.
