Chilled and then decanted for an hour to slowly bring up to room temperature. Initially this had a fairly oxidised note and I thought it might be over the hill. But the first taste disproved that theory completely. Very ripe, rich nose of golden delicious apples, fresh pineapple, butterscotch and lemon juice. Voluptuous mouth feel with a real depth and intensity of flavour. Poached apples and pears with an undertow of citrus and a long finish of caramel and butterscotch. The warmer this got the sweeter this got, which wasn’t a bad thing but was definitely intriguing. A great wine on fine form. 6/20/2021
