Ramey, Sonoma Coast, Rodgers Creek Vineyard, Syrah 2012
Description
98 points Wine Advocate
No 2011 was produced, but the 2012 Syrah Rodger’s Creek Vineyard includes 12% Viognier co-fermented with 88% Syrah. It displays terrific aromas of spring flowers, crème de cassis, blackberries, coffee and incense. Unctuously textured and dense with oodles of fruit and glycerin as well as a long, heady finish, this fabulous Syrah should drink well for a decade or more. (RP) (12/2014)

The 2012 Syrah Rodgers Creek Vineyard saw a whopping 10% Viognier. It’s still young and offers a sensational perfume of currants, smoked meats, olives, spices, and crushed flowers. It’s a full-bodied, rounded, voluptuous beauty that has no hard edges, a flamboyant, sexy personality, and a great finish. Count me a fan. (6/2018)
