pale gold; nose of honey, ripe (orange type of) melon,a little brioche; rich melon, ripe peach and a little lemon flavors backed by crisp acidity; full bodied but the acidity keeps it lively and refreshing; long finish by SB standards. One of the best SB,certainly from Calif that I've had. Vinous review notes it is 67% Sauvignon Musque- probably the source of the honey like sweetness. 8/19/2017

Not to be forgotten is one of California’s finest Sauvignon Blancs. Again, production is always an issue as there are only 840 cases of the enthralling 2006 Sauvignon Blanc, which includes 4% Viognier in the blend. This seems to give this dry, crisp wine terrific aromatics. The melons, figs, and almost honeysuckle notes soar from the glass of this wine, which does not go through malolactic but is aged in a combination of French barrels and the majority in stainless steel drums. Beautiful fruit dominates this medium-bodied wine with loads of personality and complexity. (RP)(12/2007)
