Pale greenish yellow color. Generous flowers, oyster shell and fresh citrus pith on the nose. Balanced salinity, mineral, fruit with a whisper of vanilla on the palate. The taste lingers on the palate, reminding one sort of the way the Clos lingers, but obviously not unending. Quite a good showing. This is the way a Mont Mains should taste. Excellent. 1/2/2020

Wow, just singing, gorgeous "middle aged" Raveneau. Opened and decanted for two hours, poured back into bottle. Color just starting to darken a tad to medium gold. Fresh nose of wet slate, candied lime, orange blossom and minerally goodness. Just ethereal on the palate, waves of seashell/sweet citrus flavors with a hint of that truffle element swirling in and out. 7/30/2016
