The 2022 Weingut Möhr-Niggli Maienfelder Pinot Noir is a highly refined, estate-level (village) Swiss Pinot Noir. Crafted by the husband-and-wife winemaking team of Matthias and Sina Gubler-Möhr in Maienfeld, this vintage benefits from a warmer growing season that balances Graubünden's classic Alpine freshness with deeply layered, liquid-velvet fruit.

• Winemakers: Matthias & Sina Gubler-Möhr (renowned for their Burgundy-centric philosophy).
• Origin: Maienfeld, Bündner Herrschaft, Graubünden, Switzerland.
• Terroir: Cultivated on calcareous detrital and limestone-rich soils. The region features a unique microclimate frequently warmed by the dry, alpine Föhn wind, driving optimal skin ripening while maintaining low nighttime temperatures.
• Viticulture: Sustainably and meticulously farmed with minimal chemical intervention to preserve soil healt

• Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir (predominantly traditional Swiss clones mixed with select Dijon clones).
• Vinification: Hand-harvested and fully sorted. Fermented natively in small open-top wooden vats, incorporating roughly 15% to 25% whole clusters to heighten aromatic complexity and freshness.
• Maturation: Matured for 12 months in classic French oak barriques (with a small portion of new oak), followed by an additional rest on its fine lees before being bottled unfiltered.
• Composition: ~13.0% Alcohol by Volume (ABV).

• Aroma: A brilliant ruby red pour that opens with a soaring bouquet of brambly red cherries, cranberries, and wild raspberries. This fruit-forward base is beautifully framed by Alpine herbs, wild rose petals, white pepper spice, and a faint, flinty trace of smoky oak.
• Palate: Medium-bodied, bone-dry, and impeccably balanced. The 2022 vintage offers a slightly richer, sexier, and more velvety texture than cooler years, delivering juicy red berry flavors carried by fine-grained, chalky tannins and an electric, animating acidity.
• Finish: Long, taut, and elegant, concluding on a refreshing mineral-stony edge and a cleanly dry, mouth-watering finish.
