The 2019 Domaine Pierrick Bouley Bourgogne Côte d'Or Rouge is a highly regarded, lighter-style Pinot Noir from Burgundy, France. Produced by Pierrick Bouley—who took over management of his family’s historic Volnay-based estate (formerly Domaine Reyane & Pascal Bouley)—this vintage reflects the estate's strict organic farming practices and non-interventionist winemaking philosophy.
• Vineyard: The grapes are sourced from carefully tended plots in the Côte d'Or. The estate has practiced organic farming since 2015 and utilizes manual harvesting in small 13kg cases to prevent crushing the fruit.
• Vinification: Reflecting Bouley’s meticulous style, the grapes are 100% de-stemmed. No sulfites are added during the vinification or aging (élevage) processes, allowing a pure expression of the Pinot Noir fruit.
Burghound
Fresh, cool and perfumed aromas are more elegant than those of the Passe-tout-grains with notes that include the essence of red cherry, dark raspberry, earth and a pretty top note of violet. The sleek and delicious flavors are finer but not necessarily more complex while the lingering finish flashes hints of both rusticity and youthful austerity. Burghound Outstanding Top Value!
