Deep ruby color. Still plenty of fruit with hints of blackberry and cherry with a bit of vanilla and the start of an earthy flavor. 10/19/2023

double decanted 2½ hours before drinking. Still a very big wine, with lots of coconut butter and vanilla, really sweet, a bit of leather. Beautiful fragrance and also on the palate. 3/3/2023

Two hour decant after reading other tasting notes. Generous Syrah nose of blackberry and pepper. Smooth first taste - berries and plum. Slow wave of pepper - a long and warm finish. It does need the longer decant, and would drink now before it loses its punch. 10/2/2022

Enjoyed after an hour's decant. The years have been very good to this wine, it's lush, layered and complex with a lovely whiff of iodine on the nose. Tannins are almost completely resolved but there was enough acid to pair beautifully with a ribeye. Gorgeous. 2/8/2022
