D'une finesse typique au Clos Rougeard, tout est présent et a la fois subtil tellement que c'est bien équilibré. légère touche de sous-bois en fin de bouche, c'est tellement bon, il faut gouter la signature Rougeard pour bien comprendre le profil du vin. Nous l'avons tous bien identifié a l'aveugle. Malheureusement tellement difficile a obtenir... Grand vin ! (9/26/2022)

From the second your nose hits the glass, this is clearly Cabernet Franc with some extra heft. The nose is balanced and nuanced with Tobacco leaf, leather notes, red Cherries, raspberries, herbs, fresh picked roses, root vegetables, and celery stick. The Medium bodied feel is refined and silky with Tart, medium+ acidity and silky, medium+ tannins. This was available by the glass and I happily took advantage of that. Clos Rougeard has gone to another level in price, so the opportunities are becoming less and less to taste this. (3/12/2022)

Bright ruby. Complex nose melds blackberry, licorice, violet and wild herbs. Subtly rich and elegant, offering dark berry, bitter chocolate and cracked pepper flavors. Finishes with substantial ripe but silky tannins and delicate, lingering spicy nuances. (JBP)(12/2014)
