Ruby to garnet in color. First nose is smoky, leathery, and earthy. Notes of dark fruits. Second nose is more dark fruit. Very smooth mouthfeel. As it opens up even more dark fruits. Ages extremely well. Great wine! 8/26/2017

The 2008 GBR is a blend of 83% Merlot and 17% Malbec from the estate’s Grace Benoist Ranch. Black fruit, tar, smoke, licorice and scorched earth are some of the notes that flesh out in the glass.
