Floral, with berry, plum and sandalwood aromas, as well as a hint of vanilla. Full-bodied, with firm tannins and vanilla, berry and plum flavors. This is dense, layered and balanced. Best after 2012. (2009)

A pretty nose combines redcurrant and cherry with sweet spice, earth, and unsmoked cigars. Perfectly lush with no hard edges on the palate that offers dark berries and plumb flavors, with some notes of pepper and tobacco. An elegant version for a Brunello with good depth and balance, and a soft creamy texture that makes you want to swirl it around your mouth for a minute before allowing it to glide down your throat. The finish is long and savory. Drinking perfectly right now, but will probably remain at this level for at least another handful of years. 8/27/2024

Dark fuited again, spice, some meat and balsam. Sweet plum, florals. This is lovely, melded tannins, rich yet with lovely contrasting acids, good length finish. Drinking beautifully - now and next 5 years or so. 8/18/2023
