What can you say that others haven’t? A profound, classic Rioja that seems suspended in time. First had 4 years ago and it has not changed a bit. Elegant, ethereal, sublime and of course power without the weight. Everything a great wine should be, and then some. If you can get a bottle with good provenance, pay whatever you need to. Aged Rioja's and a Ribera (NYC): Wow. Wow. Now we are talking. mind boggling. So damn profound. Orange peel, fruit, earth, mushrooms and a lovely residual finish that lasted forever. 10/7/2014
