Louis Jadot (Domaine des Heritieres), Beaune, Clos des Ursules, 1er Cru 2005
Description
93 points Wine Spectator
Enticing sweet blackberry and black currant flavors, with a touch of spice and mineral for complexity. Very pure, with harmony and finesse—all the components for a long life. Lingering aftertaste of cassis and mineral. (BS) (05/2008)
90-92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound
The most refined of this group of Beaune 1ers with the most aromatic complexity as well to the beautiful blend of red, black and violet notes that introduce rich, suave and velvety medium full flavors that are classy, powerful and vibrant. This is a bigger and bolder wine than the Boucherottes but the balance and purity of the former holds its own with the size and weight of the Ursules. A stylistic choice. *Outstanding* (04/2007)
