Lovely nose of sweet dark fruit; color is almost black, with ruby at the edges. Initially the nose included some oak hints but those quickly disappeared. Over two hours this wine opened up gradually but was slow to evolve. Mid-full bodied. Tart and concentrated cherry notes, with the tartness carrying the finish longer. One overriding message from this bottle? - Give it more time in the cellar or lots of air. Definite upside potential. 11/8/2024
