Prinz, Hallgartener Jungfer, Riesling Auslese 2002 (375ml)
Description
lightly bin soiled labels
Fred Prinz is perhaps Germany's greatest 'garage' winemaker. Initially he made a name for himself as a top winemaker in Rheingau while working at the region's largest estate, Kloster Eberbach. The wine drinking world is supremely lucky that Mr. Prinz is now devoting his time and considerable talents to making unbelievably good wines under the Prinz label. This is from one of Prinz's most prized sites, Jungfer, and it shows admirable intensity and real understanding of the Rheingau style, with limeskin notes and hints of pineapple.
