The 2022 Sven Enderle Pinot Noir represents a historic milestone in the German natural wine scene. After co-founding and spending over 15 years building the iconic, cult-favorite Baden estate Enderle & Moll into a global benchmark for low-intervention winemaking, Sven Enderle parted ways with the project. The 2022 vintage marks his highly anticipated solo debut.

Working on an extremely small, micro-artisanal scale with organic and biodynamic parcels throughout Baden, Sven's inaugural releases capture the same translucent, featherlight elegance he pioneered, but with an added layer of soil tension and clean precision.

• The Profile: Sourced from multiple organic parcels spanning across Baden, grown mostly on limestone with a touch of Keuper clay. This acts as his "introductory" or village-level bottling, though its complexity punches far above its weight.
• Tasting Notes: Translucent dark ruby color. The nose is incredibly perfumed and expressive, overflowing with dark cherry, wild raspberry, and blueberry, backed by complex forest floor earthiness and deep baking spices like clove, allspice, and sumac.
• Palate: Well-extracted yet featherlight in body. It displays a vibrant, refreshing nerve of acidity and exceptionally soft, delicate tannins. The texture is alive, energetic, and extraordinarily light on its feet.
• Winemaking Details: Vinified using 12.5% to 13% ABV and 100% whole clusters. The grapes are traditional foot-crushed in open boxes, fermented spontaneously with wild yeasts, and aged for 15 months in neutral French, Austrian, and Italian oak barrels ranging from 225L to 600L. It is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with minimal sulfur.

• When to Drink: While these 2022s are packed with youthful energy and can be thoroughly enjoyed right now with air, they are built with the delicate architecture to evolve beautifully in a stable cellar through 2032+.
• Serving Advice: If opening a bottle soon, give it 1 to 2 hours of air. As the reduction dissipates, the wine opens up beautifully, showing deep sandalwood, musk, and spice notes. Serve at a cool room temperature, or give the baseline bottle a light chill to enhance its vibrant crunch.
