Domaine Tempier, Bandol, La Tourtine 2005
Description
93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Although the Migoua commands a higher price, in my opinion it is the Tourtine that represents Tempier's best cuvee. A wonderful, ebullient nose of blackberry, cherry, hedgerow and an almost savoury character. The palate has sublime balance and greater minerality than other cuvees; vigorous, utterly harmonious with a well-defined, wonderful poised finish. Outstanding. (NM) (6/2007)
93 points Wine Spectator
A dense, refined red from the south of France, with precise flavors of plum, cherry and mineral. There's also plenty of tobacco and spice, with an unctuous finish of kirsch and dark chocolate. (KM) (6/2008)
