Fans of the powerful, late harvest, Santa Maria Valley style of Pinot Noir are not necessarily going to find synchronicity with Charles & Mikey’s vision for this wine. Their goal is best understood as the pursuit of balance, elegance, food friendly wines. Aromas are spot on for Pinot Noir grown in the region. The flavor profile is persistent and very simpatico for those desiring a sipper to share with with food or lively conversation. My personal service for this wine is enjoyment with a slight chill, as one might have with a Cru Beaujolais or Volnay.
