Les Vins de Vienne was founded by three renowned Rhône winemakers: Yves Cuilleron, François Villard, and Pierre Gaillard. Sourced from granite soils in the prestigious Hermitage appellation, which provides the characteristic mineral and peppery nuances to the Syrah grape.
The 2007 Les Vins de Vienne Hermitage "Les Chirats de Saint-Christophe" is a sophisticated, mature Syrah that perfectly captures the elegance of a cooler Northern Rhône vintage. Now at its peak, the wine presents a deep garnet color and a complex nose of dried black fruits, leather, and cracked pepper. On the palate, it is remarkably fresh and "lifted," offering a silky texture with fully integrated tannins and savory notes of tobacco and earth. It concludes with a long, mineral-driven finish, making it an ideal companion for herb-roasted lamb or aged cheeses.
