Winery Notes

Our first 100% Cabernet Franc bottling was made is so limited that our wine club members will be the only folks getting a hold of this first release. The 2005 growing season was characterized by an Indian summer with warm, nearly perfect conditions. Harvest was a bit latter than average but it allowed for excellent sugar development and balanced acids. Aromas of white pepper, black cherries and spice balanced by flavors of chocolate and currant with bright acidity.

Absolutely loved this at the tasting room and bought the second to last bottle. Wife then opened it in error. At least it's ready to drink. I'm convinced this could last another 3-5 years, but it's awesome now. Dark fruit on the palate, firm tannins but very drinkable with food. Great nose of rose petal, lavender and black cherry. 8/3/2016
