Produttori Riserva collection 2008 (Must and Lees, N1): To me this was most equivalent to the Paje in character. Inviting crunchy red fruit, all about cranberry and cherry. This has a certain delicacy about it, a light waft of flowers, a dusting of fine herbs, it just has an airy nature about it that I find very attractive. Lovely. 1/29/2025

'08 Produttori Riservas at M&L Islington (Must & Lees, Liverpool Road): Open 4 hrs; no decant. Lovely nose full of raspberry, cinnamon etc. – perhaps a clove or two. Purer palate than others and a thwack of tannins at the end. Palate is less generous than the nose; perhaps just a little less complex than expected? 1/29/2025

2008 PdB Riservas (Must & Lees): Blind. Lighter and fresher on the nose, with some sous bois - a stereotypical 2008, perhaps. Deep and controlled on the palate, yet also so charming and compelling, with a clean, spicy finish. So lovely! 1/29/2025
