Had a glass of this at dinner last night. Fairly fruity with more density than I expected. Tasty. I should be buying more Gevrey-Chambertin. 3/30/2019

The color portends an older wine than 2009. The nose has this marvelous cherry flavored cigar smoke thread that wraps around a bright fruit core. The acid and tannins are light and easy. There are no harsh edges in this wine, which is a bit of a surprise as I am continuously told that Bourgogne needs more than a decade. This is now my 2nd experience where Gevrey-Chambertin has been a very satisfying experience in its purported youth. It may get better, but I am happy with it, today. 5/31/2016
