From magnum. Stunning rose petal nose!! You do not have to drink this wine to enjoy how beautiful it is with the perfect aged rose petal nose it displayed. Sensational. Taste wise, very good from a great vintage and giving you all that this wonderful 1st Cru vineyard is capable of delivering. For what it is, I don't think this wine can be any better, and the magnum format sure helps regarding the freshness and complexity this wine displayed. Text book Caillerets. In this format, the wine will easily last another decade, but why wait. At its peak now at 25 1/2 years old. 3/26/2025

Practically opaque with roasted nuts and earthy fruit, beautifully detailed flavors of intense minerality and impressive length. The tannins are prominent but the richness more than balances them. Outstanding 04/2001
