Vivid red. Drop-dead gorgeous perfume of raspberry preserves, Asian spices and fresh rose, with a deeper suggestion of violet. Sappy, penetrating and pure, with strikingly intense red fruit flavors underpinned by tangy minerality. Finishes with resonating spiciness and a lingering floral note. I thought I had drank my last bottle of this 2 1/2 years ago, but found this bottle hidden behind some other 2008 Kistler Pinots! This was a pop 'n pour at an Indian restaurant with some friends and we loved it. Kistler's big Pinot style held up great and complimented the spices in the two lamb dishes we had. 1/30/2024
