Opening on earthy aromas of rock salt, crushed rock and rose petal, this is a complex, brooding wine from an incredible site. The 2018 Pinot Noir Rochioli Riverblock Estate Vineyard is another fabulous wine in this lineup. It offers all the fruit richness and structure that are such signatures of the Rochioli family's estate vineyard just outside Healdsburg. I would give it a few years in bottle, as the tannins are pretty imposing at this stage. There is plenty to look forward to. Readers should expect a potent, tannic Pinot. (AG) 95+ (1/2021)
