The 2009 Giusto di Notri boasts tons of power and sheer energy. Dark cherries, plums, tobacco and incense are all wrapped around a powerful core of fruit in this expressive, beautifully delineated wine. Tua Rita owner, Stefano Frascolla, says 2009 was the first time they really put into practice what they had learned from previous hot, dry vintages. They decided not to extract too much, not to press too much. The result is a beautifully suave, elegant, creamy wine with sweet-oak spice and blackcurrant notes set in a smooth, seductive texture - both harmonious and appealing. (SH) (12/2019)
