Fabulous 25 year old Rioja. This from someone who loves old wine. Aromas of slighted rotted strawberry, fresh asphalt and old oak barrel. In mouth initial large acidic presence which morphs into sour cherry and then very quickly into ripened strawberry and then some prune. Tremendous depth in this charmer !!! Finish is dry, lingering cherry fruit with a bit of a sharp acidity (but just a bit) which really adds depth. Really nicely balanced aged wine. 8/23/2019
