This was brought over by a guest last night in Meatsmith. I didn't have high hopes for it because the storage of these 90s wines in Singapore is all over the place. But man, was this gem singing! Cork comes out with ease. Pours deep garnet in the glass with a chunk of sediment. The nose is developed to the fullest, showing notes of prune, cooked blackberry, strawberry, some sweet spices and slight hints of button mushrooms. What amazed me the most is that even after sitting in the glass for a couple of hours, this wine was still holding its shit together gracefully, a rare occurrence in old Shiraz. At its peak right now, but this is Mt. Everest peak. Drinking stunningly well, Heathcote just does it better. 11/13/2021
