Liquid Farm, Santa Maria Valley, White Hill Chardonnay 2015
Description

I loved the 2015 Chardonnay White Hill, and while it's made in a racy, citrus, lean style, it has solid mid-palate concentration and texture. Spice, brioche and hints of buttered citrus developed with time in the glass, and like most well-made 2015s, it's going to reward patience. Based out of Santa Ynez, Liquid Farm Winery is a collaboration between Jeff Nelson, Nikki Pallesen and James Sparks. They make a bevy of classically styled, age-worthy Chardonnays, a Bandol-styled rosé, and two Pinot Noirs. (8/2017)

The 2015 Chardonnay White Hill is refined, elegant and lifted, with plenty of bright citrus, white pepper and floral overtones. This is in a decidedly delicate, restrained style for Liquid Farm. (AG) (9/2017)
