Robert-Denogent, Pouilly Fuisse, La Reisses, Vieilles Vignes 2012
Description
93 points Wine Advocate
The 2012 Pouilly Fuissé Les Reisses Vieilles Vignes has a comparatively austere bouquet, but one with great transparency, as if you can peer through rock. The palate is harmonious with touches of hazelnut and spice on the entry, a fine line of acidity and a long but tender white-pepper-tinged finish. This has enormous potential - real class and sophistication even at this early stage. (10/2014)

Here too the expressive nose exhibits just enough wood treatment to comment on but it's not sufficient to intrude on the very fresh white peach, pear and acacia blossom scents. The elegant and refined middle weight flavors are tighter and more delineated while delivering outstanding intensity on the explosively long finish that is markedly drier. Good stuff and well-worth your attention. (10/2014)
