The first Arietta Claret, the 2004 is a blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, and 14% Petit Verdot from vineyards farmed by David Abreu at the top of Howell Mountain. The relatively high percentage of Petit Verdot gives the wine great depth and staying power. Best held until 2008 and beyond.
