In good shape and indeed came soaring out of the glass. Beautiful nose of very pure cherry and earth - not immediately Cote Rotie but very attractive. The palate had the same profile but with a slightly licquer-like texture; quite lightweight but not lacking in intensity. Drunk over an hour, the nose faded somewhat and the delineation of the wine softened a bit - in a lovely place and better drunk now than waiting. ****+ (FEB 2016)
