The 2022 Sven Enderle Pinot Noir "vom Keuper" is one of the premier, high-end "Grand Cru" tier releases from Sven Enderle's highly anticipated solo debut vintage. Having spent over 15 years establishing Enderle & Moll as a global icon of low-intervention winemaking, Sven’s solo endeavor focuses on ultra-small-scale, soil-specific cuvées.
The "vom Keuper" bottling is named directly after the ancient, dense Keuper soil (a unique marl, clay, and limestone formation) from which the grapes are grown.

• The Soil Influence: Keuper marl and clay give the wine a distinctively spicy, herbal, and deeply rooted foundational depth that contrasts beautifully with his high-toned "Kalk" (pure limestone) bottling.
• Aromatics: A complex, savory, and layered nose. It showcases a dark, brooding matrix of ripe dark cherry and forest berries, thoroughly intertwined with intense secondary layers of sous bois (forest floor), dried herbs, medicinal bark, wild mushrooms, and baking spices.
• Palate: Remarkable textural duality—it manages to be featherlight yet profoundly structured. It captures a deeper concentration, more pronounced spice, and firmer architectural tension than his village-level red. The palate finishes clean and fresh with a lively streak of acidity and fine-grained, elegant tannins.
• Micro-Production Winemaking: This is an exceptionally rare bottling, with only 1,050 bottles produced in total. Vinified with 100% whole clusters, the grapes were foot-crushed in 800-liter boxes, fermented spontaneously with wild yeasts, and aged for 15 months in neutral 225L to 600L oak casks. It was bottled entirely unfined and unfiltered with zero additives and minimal sulfur.

When to Drink: Tasters on CellarTracker note that while it can be tight and closed immediately upon popping the cork, it opens beautifully with extended air, evolving nicely over several days. It is approachable now with a 2-hour decant, but possesses the deep acid-tannin frame to evolve gracefully in a cellar through 2032+
