Still impressively dark with some bricking but not any browning. Huge broody nose. Silky smooth entry. Tobacco, dark cherry, ripe/smooth tannins, all make for a very long, still fresh finish. By no means senescent, with plenty of life left, this will not improve. 2/2/2025

Pale garnet color with a touch of brick. The nose is a little closed and restrained yet with some coaxing opens out into an amazing array of dark cherry, dried cranberry, forest floor and tobacco aromas with an exotic sprinkling of Chinese five spice.The palate fills the entire mouth with ripe, concentrated fruit. Perfectly balanced with high acidity and a medium+ level of fine tannins. Very long finish. Still youthful. (LPB). 03/2009
