95 points Allen Meadows - Burghound

A cooler if slightly less complex nose offers up smoky aromas of green apple, white fruit and, once again, plenty of citrus elements. The powerful and dense flavors are blessed with so much dry extract that there is a borderline chewy texture; indeed this is almost tannic and it's clear that in contrast to so many 2015 whites, this is going to require extended cellaring. In short, this is a great Corton-Charlemagne. *Don't miss!* Drink: 2027+ (6/2017)

93 points Vinous

(picked very early, at the end of August, as the Aloxe portion of this grand cru is at lower altitude and is well exposed to sun): Full yellow color; darker than the Bâtard. Chalky yet deeply pitched aromas of apricot, smoky minerality and earth, with some oak showing. Rich, ripe and large-scaled but with strong acidity giving the orange oil, brown spice and mineral flavors a penetrating quality. A distinctly tannic style of 2015, this wine conveys an impression of silex firmness. Finishes with surprising acidity and a touch of salinity. This wine will need time in bottle to gain in pliancy but should be outstanding. (ST) (9/2017)
