Spectacular showing tonight. the wine was open for business right away (no need to slow ox as mentioned in the other tasting notes). nose was boasting black truffle, ripe bell pepper, tobacco, dark fruit... the palate is deep, smooth tannins, long, great balance. a great example of California cabs of the 70's, 80s when they tasted like Bordeaux with a "sexy" twist. 12/7/2023
